Corella Fairchild Pierson

Originally from the Seattle area, Corie has enjoyed being a Houstonian for over a decade. She has been a Houston based artist since 2016 when she first displayed her fine art at the Hardy & Nance Studio's annual "10x10 Show." Since then, she has participated in many group shows at several venues. Corie first started performing chalk art drawings when she volunteered for the Houston Via Colori festival in 2015. In the years that have followed, she has become a regular artist at the annual Kerrville Chalk Festival and the monthly Chalk on the Block held in Midtown, Houston. A BFA graduate from the University of Houston Clear Lake, Corie is also an art educator, a muralist, and a photographer. She is one half of the married artist due KP & Corie Art and owner of Cloudtear Designs. She has taught art to mostly elementary aged students for UHCL, City ArtWorks, Art & Kustom Kreations, the Glade Gallery, Talento Bilingual de Houston, and is currently on contract with the Actin Academy. When Corie isn't chalking, she enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, reading, touring art shows or museums with her husband Kenneth Pierson, or spending time with her family and friends outdoors.
